1st Grade Teacher

As a National Board Certified Teacher, Anne Kimbell Neighbors has a passion for lifelong learning and teaching. Anne Kimbell has been teaching first graders for over 16 years. She earned both her Bachelors and Masters of Elementary Education from Auburn University. She was named Oak Mountain Elementary School Teacher of the Year in 2014 and Cary Woods Elementary School Teacher of the Year in 2019. Throughout her career, she has consistently shown her passion for not only teaching and challenging students academically, but also showing Christ’s love through her daily interactions and relationships with her students, their families, and her colleagues. She has served various leadership roles including Auburn City Schools Curriculum Planning Team, Cary Woods Counseling Advisory Council, Grade Level Chairman, and has led multiple local professional developmental projects. In these roles she sought to instill academic excellence and propel a spirit of genuine community, which she will practice at ACC Academy.

Anne Kimbell enjoys spending time with her family, traveling (especially to Disney World), and gardening. She grew up in Gulf Shores, Alabama and still loves to visit. The beach is her happy place! She has been married to her husband, Will, for eleven years and they have been blessed with two amazing children. Grant is a rising 4th grader at Lee-Scott Academy who loves golf and Legos. Mary Seldon will be in first grade and is beyond excited to attend ACC Academy! She loves gymnastics and animals. Anne Kimbell also has two pets, a dog named Shug, and a cat named Scout. Her house is busy and loud and she loves it!

Anne Kimbell is thankful for the gift of teaching that God has instilled in her. She is humbled and honored to be a pioneer for ACC Academy as a first grade teacher. Her desire to grow disciples who have a love of Jesus in their hearts and who are eager to be a part of the community of believers is paramount. She is excited to learn and grow alongside her students.
