Leadership development program
Hands on ministry experience for College juniors and seniors
What is LDP?
Our Leadership Development Program (LDP) is available to college juniors and seniors who are actively involved in our local body. Inspired by Colossians 3:12-17, our heart is to develop leaders into this picture of what scripture says. The LDP year runs from August to May. We open applications mid November for the next year’s class! Each LDP is put onto a team within the church to spend intentional time focusing on and growing that part of our local church. This program prioritizes personal communion with the Lord above all else. Our focus is on empowering LDP participants through discipleship, service, and comprehensive teaching.
Weekly Expectations
Our Expectations for LDP are 15-20 hours a week (including all day Sunday, LDP meeting, LDP Team meeting, Recess Group, and any events your team may be organizing.)
• LDP meetings are generally held on Tuesdays at 4:45 PM for the entire LDP class led by the LDP Staff.

• LDP Team meetings are held weekly during a work day led by your supervisor for your team.

• Recess Groups are a break from the work of LDP! Gender-separated groups led by influential members of the LDP Team to build relationships within smaller groups of people.
Opportunities Throughout the year
Throughout the year, we have an LDP retreat, Parents Weekend, and an optional Mission Trip that our LDP’s get to participate in.
LDP Retreat
The focus of this weekend is community! Each LDP shares their testimony, followed by a few minutes of encouragement from their peers. We play field day games and enjoy the community the Lord is creating.
Parents Weekend
Parents Weekend takes place on a weekend with a home football game. We want to invite parents to see what the Lord is doing here and how their child is apart of it. But mostly, we want to express our gratitude for parents because we know they sacrifice in allowing their child to be apart of this program.
LDP Mission Trip
This optional trip is a fun opportunity for our LDPs to be the hands and feet of Jesus and for our LDPs to serve in unity. In the past we have taken trips to New Mexico, South Sudan, and Ecuador.

What can I expect from the program?

LDP is a 15-20 hour a week commitment. This includes your meetings and events. You can expect biblical teaching, intentional relationships with supervisors and LDP staff, and deep community with your peers.

What is the programs heart for the LDP’s?

Our heart is for each LDP to fall more in love with Jesus by developing a stronger confidence in the character of God. We want each LDP to look more like Jesus through spiritual formation and biblical teaching. We also want to cultivate individual gifting through spiritual formation, ministry discovery, and spiritual growth. Lastly, we want to develop a love for the local church in each LDP as they experience genuine, Christ-centered community.
