Esperanza House Block Party
MISSION STATEMENT: Esperanza House helps meet the needs of the low- income, hispanic population in our area through tutoring, childcare, practical needs, and biblical community
DESCRIPTION: Help facilitate a day of fun for Esperanza House families through a neighborhood block party.
ROLES: Relational, Face Painting, Yard Games TIME: 9AM-12PM LOCATION: Kings Trailer Park, 3500 Dale Ave, Opelika, AL 36801
MISSION: The Way 2 Serve exists to share the love of Jesus in practical ways, to build long term relationships, to point those in need to The Way, which is Jesus Christ. DESCRIPTION: We need a few good hands to help bring a homes flooring plan to life! No experience needed. Just bring your hands and heart to serve an Opelika family home.
You will receive specific details from your site leader closer to the project date.
ROLES: Work Crew TIME/LOCATION: 8AM - 2PM, Opelika Area POINT OF CONTACT: Addi Jones – ajones@auburncommunitychurch.com All volunteers aged 19+ who have not completed a background check through ACC will be prompted to complete one after signing up to serve.
MISSION: Baby Steps aims to empower pregnant and parenting college students facing an unplanned pregnancy by providing housing, community, and support. DESCRIPTION: Come and enjoy a day at the lake with Baby Steps moms and their children.
MISSION STATEMENT: Alongside provides practical support for foster and adoptive families.
DESCRIPTION: This is an opportunity to serve our foster and adoptive families by providing lunch and an opportunity for kids to play and parents to rest.
MISSION STATEMENT: Friends of Internationals exists to see international students at Auburn University welcomed with a genuine, transforming love that will produce lifelong friendships while also serving their practical needs.
DESCRIPTIONS: Furniture Drive: Volunteers will have the opportunity to donate furniture and help pickup, transport and deliver furniture to storage units. Community Dinner: There will also be an evening dinner where volunteers will have the opportunity to be relational and have community time with International students.*You can sign up for one or both opportunities!
