By being a part of this group, you’re partnering with us to provide relief to our church body and local community in need.
Partner with us by: // Cooking a meal or picking up a meal and delivering it to a family in need // Preparing meals ahead of time and keeping them in your freezer until a need arises // Even ordering food from companies like Tiger Town to Go or Door Dash are encouraged as well (For those of us who don’t thrive in the kitchen)
Volunteers on this team are handy in home project skills and will be notified if someone within the church needs assistance. They will also be informed as these types of serve opportunities arise within the community.
Being a member of this team means hosting a college community group in your home at least once a month. You may also provide a meal for the group when hosting.
Facilitate conversations to help others live the life Jesus died and rose for them to live. Create a safe place, encourage authenticity, celebrate breakthroughs, and lead the way!
Community is at the center of who we are as a church. Facilitators get the incredible opportunity to weekly facilitate a group of people within their same life stage. Community groups are driven by relationships and life-stage, and are focused on weekly ACC teaching. Every group meets in a home.
This group exists to serve the internationals in and throughout our church and community. As needs arise where we can be involved in serving internationals, either students through the university or families in our community, we jump in! This is usually on an as needed basis as opportunities present themselves.
If you have a heart for either foster/adoption care, either wanting to foster/adopt or simply serve families who have/want to foster/adopt, our Alongside ministry has many opportunities that pop up. In serving families within the church, other churches, and the community, we want to be the church in serving these families and children.
Volunteers reach out via the craft of a handwritten note of thanksgiving and encouragement to individuals and many groups in the Auburn-Opelika area. A heart of love for Jesus, love for others, and a joy of writing is necessary to be effective in this group.
