FOLLOW-UP FROM LAST WEEK: What resource did you decide to engage with before the election? You can still find the resource list HERE if needed.

Begin group time with 2 minutes of silent prayer. Assume a comfortable position and repeat the phrase “Come Holy Spirit” to yourself as you breathe. If your mind wanders, that's okay—simply notice it, repeat the phrase, and return your focus. After the silence, invite someone from the group to close in prayer.

READ OUT LOUD AS A GROUP: 2 Chronicles 26:1-23
Q1 – Uzziah started well by seeking wisdom from older mentors. Who do

you turn to for wisdom, and how has that shaped your walk with God?

Q2 – How has success—whether in career, relationships, school, or ministry—skewed your understanding of who you are? Do you find it hard to separate your identity from your achievements? If so, why?

● If God were to take away everything you’ve achieved, would your relationship with Him still feel sufficient?

Q3 – Have you ever found yourself more focused on maintaining success than intimacy with God? How does fear—whether of losing what you’ve built or falling short—shape the way you live, and what has that tension done to your inner life over time?

Q4 – Where in your life have you shifted from “I am greatly helped” to “I am powerful”? What led to that shift? How has that shift impacted your relationships?

● What practices do you need to implement to maintain a posture of humility? How do you cultivate a space of humility?

Q5 – King Uzziah used his power and authority to rebuild his kingdom. How are you using your authority, whatever that may be, to help others flourish?

Q6 – Uzziah’s downfall came when he acted out of pride in the temple, a place reserved for God’s holiness. Are there areas of your life where pride has caused you to overstep boundaries? How did that impact your relationship with God or others?

CHALLENGE:
Spend time in solitude with the Lord this week, reading Philippians 2:3-8, 2 Corinthians 12:9, and Psalm 139. As you reflect, ask God to reveal any ways that pride or influence may have shifted your heart away from a posture of loving Him and loving others.
