Read: Acts 22:30-23:11; Psalm 116

If anyone has not yet shared, take this week to finish sharing life maps in your group.

  1. What does it look like for you to “take courage” in this season of life? Spend time praying for and encouraging those in your group who are in a season where they need to “take courage”.
  2. What does the way you are living your life say about your conviction of the resurrection of the dead?
  3. DISCUSS: “What we need these days is a company of Christians who are prepared to trust God as completely now as they know they must at the last day. For each of us the time is surely coming when we shall have nothing but God. Health and wealth and friends and hiding places will all be swept away and we shall have only God. To those of pseudo-faith that is a terrifying thought, but to real faith it is one of the most comforting thoughts the heart can entertain. It would be a tragedy indeed to come to the place where we have nothing but God and find that we had not been trusting God at all." - A.W. Tozer
  4. Are you arranging a way out in case God fails you?
  5. Has your inner relationship with Jesus transformed you to look more like Him than you did last year or are you using religion to project an image of holiness?
  6. What fruit of the spirit is lacking in your life that your group can pray for?
  7. What spiritual discipline can you work on as a group to cultivate that fruit being grown? (joy: community & prayer, self control: simplicity & fasting, love: service & hospitality, etc.)
